From Highlands Ranch, Colorado

Hello,

We're in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. I am a Stay-at-Home Dad with a 2.5 year old Girl, and a 9 month old Boy. We're going to get chickens next year for Eggs. We're allowed to have four Hens, and we know nothing so we're going to learn as much as we can before we jump in. I'd love to meet other Chicken owners in the area, and when it's time for us to start our flock, I'm hoping we can find a local breeder. I picked up the For Dummies book, and am working my way through it now. I'm looking for Chicken Coop plans since I will be building it, but I want a tried and true design.

Hi and welcome! I'm very near you, in Acres Green (which is sort of hidden between Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree)! I'm very jealous - we have huge lots here, and I can't believe we aren't zoned for chickens and you Highlands Ranch people are! I have 5 illegal chicks.
