After our buy fail, adorable 2 house coop, we decided to scratch it resell it to someone for rabbits, and building from scratch!
We had tons of inspiration and I'm more than exstatic to begin!
The building plan comes from an 8 x 8 shed plan.
We are adding insulation, a roof vent, windows, and an automatic door into their 208 sq ft run!
Our wood has arrived!

Does the shed plan have good roof overhangs?
Posting the plan here for advice before you start to build might save you headaches down the road.

Where are you located? Insulation is rarely a good idea in a chicken coop.
Ditto Dat!
Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

I am in ohio. We were planning a wood shed, was going to insulate between the siding and walls.
I also ordered the ecopaints air purifying paint for the walls and floor.
I suppose it's more of a tiny house.

HUGE amounts of ventilation is a very good idea in a chicken coop.
Northeast ohio
We plan on a few windows, a vent in the back, top front, and we have a roof vent
We bought the insulation to help with winter

I don't show that on here 😞

Northeast ohio just south of the snowbelt

We are ultimately looking to do something like this, but for now only the shed part, for the roof we were going to build it like our house with the wood, paper, shingles, and a roof vent.
We were also looking at some other venting options to add as well (I forget what they're called)
