From New Wilmington, PA

Hi: Delighted to find a group of chicken owners. I have had chickens and turkey for three years now and currently have 22 chickens (7 roosters) and 5 turkeys (3 Toms). In chickens I have Golden Comets with my original rooster being a Rhode Island Red, and I also have White Rocks. In turkeys I have heritage birds, Narragansett and Royal Palm. I enjoy all my birds, and have been awarded a plaque from the Audubon Society as a Bird Sanctuary, last year!

I am a classical homeopath, I treat all my birds with homeopathic remedies and have had great success. I also, enjoy trying to grow my own vegetables. Look forward to helping others out with some advice and getting help when I need it.

Welcome to the group! Lots of kind, helpful folks here. We love pictures of any and all of your livestock! We don't have chickens YET, but soon! We have done volunteer work for the Audubon society, and use no pesticides in our yard. Good to have you with us!

Hello,
I will be moving to New Wilmington, PA soon and am interested in raising chickens on our property. One questions I have is that from what I can see from the New Wilmington Borough rules is that chickens are not permitted within the borough. So, I was wondering if you have your chicken in the borough or am I reading the rules incorrectly.
Thanks
