Hi, I've had chickens for 4 years. I started with a mix of breeds from the feed store that I had for 2 years, during which time I was introduced to Rose Comb Anconas, fell in love and am now breeding them, with much help from a great breeder friend of mine. I have a flock of layers and a subflock of breeders.
I also raise Chocolate Muscovy Ducks, am greatly amused by my flock of Fawn Runners and have an Irish Dexter Milking Cow, along with some Tamworth pigs. Finally I raise Creme D'Argent rabbits for meat. I love Heritage breed animals and am very excited to be providing much of our own food from our 8 acres, as well as helping to preserve these great breeds!
