I have a few buffs and barred rocks with some white tips

is there any relief balm to put on? My coop is heated but the weather has been so cold...

You really don't want to apply any pain killing cream or ointment, since benzocaine, lidocaine, and pramicain can be toxic to chickens in certain doses. You can use vetericyn, iodine, or plain antibiotic ointment as long as the combs are not massaged, since that can cause more tissue damage.

I'd imagine vaseline could help temporarily, to keep things from getting any worse and to add some moisture.
