Frost Bite

Is it necessary to "do" anything about frost bite? My rooster has frost bite on the tips and edges of his comb and wattles. He doesn't seem to be in pain, and has had it for a day or two.

I am not sure if there is anything you could do, but..I would put vegetable oil or lard on its comb and wattles to prevent further harm being done to him.
