Frostbit Roo

Hagrid my roo got some frost bite on his comb and wattles last week when it hit -14. I have never kept a roo this long and his comb is so large that it is probably very hard for him to keep it warm. Other that treating daily with bag balm what can I do for my boy? He seems in good spirits and is chasing the gals as much as ever.

ahhh poor buddy! I don't have that problem here in Fl but i know some use vaseline to prevent it.

Last year we got to -35 will no ill effects. But his comb is 3 times the size of a hens.
