It got down to 2 Degrees F last night, and my rooster got frostbite (I don't heat the coop). I don't think it is too bad, but I have no experience with this so I don't really have anything to compare severeness to, besides pictures on the internet. What do you guys think? 
Also, I read that putting Vaseline on the comb and wattle can help prevent frostbite, but not to put it on an already frostbit comb because it could break off and cause more damage, but that is just if it is pretty severe, right?
What are your guys' ways for preventing frostbite? It is supposed to get really cold again, so this time I want to be prepared
