Frostbite and opening windows?

If it helps any, I'm in Wyoming and leave my coop windows open about half inch to an inch all winter and out of my 3 roosting bars most prefer the one closest to the windows.

Thanks everyone for your help. I will be going to home depot for a thermometer and am going to get a filter for the window. I think that will be the easiest.

We have an indoor outdoor remote station. It works well. But look at what you can get at the Depot for $2.98.

I just looked a bit closer at this thermometer. For some of our cold weather folks, the temperature range may not go low enough. I am sure they have many options.
