Frostbite on legs?

hi,

I just got a new chicken. I’m not sure what breed she is, but I will post pictures in the morning. I took a look at her feet, and they were kinda black and one of her toes in pretty much hanging from a thread. Her nails are really long, too. Like I said before, I will take pictures in the morning. The legs looked kinda black, but I couldn’t really get a good look. I will update in the morning. Thank you, and stay nearby in the morning!

Toe looks to be caught in something?....2x4 roosters to lay on will keep toes warm..Does it look too bad at all...

alright, thank you. she doesn’t seem to be moving around much, and when i set her down after picking her up she screams like she’s in pain. is it her feet?

If she were mine I would trim her nails, then soak her feet and legs in warm water and scrub/pick off any dirt. Hard for me to see what might be dirt and what might be dead tissue.

Hens yell for many reasons...She walks right?...I seen no evidence of scaly leg mites?.. people on here can scare the pants off of you..
