I don't want to keep him in to long to the point were he looses his cold hardiness. I can control the temperature in that room as much as I like if that helps at all.

You could set the room temperature to be just above freezing (maybe 33 to 35 degrees Fahrenheit.)

That would be about as cold as you can get while still being sure he's safe from frostbite, and has liquid water to drink.

Update: Birdie seems relatively unfazed for this comb. The blisters have doubled in size today snd some of his comb tips are white. I took him outside for the day, but will bring him back inside tonight.
I went to check on my other rooster this morning, snd it looks like his comb looks like it is more severely frostbittrn. His coop doesnt have adequate ventilation. I was hoping that the large window towards the top of the coop would be enough, but apparently not. I’ll add that to my list of to dos.
I brought him inside with Doodle when I put Birdie put. Photo below. Any thing I should do? I don’t plan on putting him outside right away, but I will lower the room temperature. I think I saw someone put Vetrycin on frostbite in a past thread, but I can’t remember. Thanks for any suggestions everyone! The chicken ER seems to be full this week.

How did you treat his frostbite last year? His comb has been rounded off long before this week. Looks like he will lose more this year.
Personally, I wouldn't handle his comb nor would I apply anything to it.

I can't remember exactly when my anniversary was, but I feel like last time he got frostbite I had either just joined BYC, or didn't know enough about it yet to diagnose. When I look back at photos now after reading this post, I do see some photos showing he probably had frostbite. This makes sense. I have a couple projects to do today, but I'll get ventilation added to that coop as soon as I can get hardware cloth to cover up new holes.
Should I just keep him inside long enough for it to fall off? Birdie's comb looks pretty painful as well. 3 of his tips are white with large blisters.

Got Sam back outside today, and Birdie out yesterday. I was able to find an old stool to add to the coop to give more perch availability. I have a plan for a free standing perch system I want to build tomorrow or the next day. They all seem to be doing good, and I have a plan to add more ventilation to the existing coop. Hoping to get that done tomorrow. Otherwise, everyone seems to be doing good, and things are starting to warm up around here. That will be a nice change from the frigid conditions.
Thanks so much for the help everyone! I'm happy to see the color come back into Birdies comb, so I don't think he will loose any tips. Sam seems to have some improvement, but I do think he may loose more this year. Both seem unfazed for the most part, and Sam was VERY happy to get back out with his ladies.
