Frostbite

Hi!

I have a rooster who has frostbite, I keep putting Vaseline on it but when he drinks the par t with it the worst gets wet. How can I treat it?

keep doing what you are doing but try to switch to nipple waterers if possible that way he can't dip his wattles in the water.

It is the end of his comb that is the problem. How can I get vaseline on without rubbing?

What kind of water system do you have?

It is a pan of water, I only have it temporally though.

He has a big comb and it gets wet when he drinks.

I don't know, putting the vaseline on is a good idea and he should heal great , but does he dunk his head to drink because I was my RIR roo drink and only his wattles get wet but they are inside our garage when it gets really cold no heat but better protection from the elements but he has never gotten his comb wet

The thing is that his comb goes down real far on his beak and when he gets a sip it gets wet.
