I have a French Marans here. It was -30c the other day. I'm thinking she got some water on her comb here and it froze. Does this look like frostbite?

😞 I've put Vaseline on her comb. But other than that. Is there anything I can do to repair damage or?
Vaseline doesn't usually help. I've heard a case where the comb froze solid because of it. Unfortunately, just a warm stretch will do. It's not black yet, so if she's not exposed to colder temps and if the temps go up, it could heal on its own. I do not recommend you bringing her indoors or provide an outside heat source, as it won't be good for her overall well-being.

Agrees, leave it alone.
It's fairly mild considering the temps.
The black part will likely fall off eventually.

1 night and day of -30c and one day of -21c. This week Temps will hover around -1c to 2c so this should provide a break and moment to start healing. Thank you for the advice and help yall.
