I have a drake and yesterday he was refusing to really walk around in the snow. i was worried but could not catch him to talk a closer look at his feet and legs, which looked fine yesterday. today i went out and noticed a black spot on the webbing of his feet. once again, i couldn't catch him to take a look. the rest of his foot looks okay so my mom was guessing it was just a part of a leaf stuck to his foot. i just brought out a little pool for him to swim around in, maybe it will come off if its a leaf. he barely goes out in the snow, and his house and pen have bedding that i always make sure to keep nice and dry. could it be frostbite? how can i tell if it is? and what should i do for him if it is frostbite?

If you think he's hurt, then you need to catch him. If he's hanging out in the coop, that shouldn't be too difficult, use some plywood or cardboard to corral him. If you're looking for help about what the black spot is, get a picture, it will help immensely.
