That may just fall off by itself just leave it alone. I use Bag Balm at times on my Muscovys that does help. Be very gentle if you use it on that part since it's blk, just watch for infection now. The skin will be very easy to break open. Thankfully mine never got that bad.

ive been putting petroleum jelly on both ducks' caruncles to keep it from spreading and just kind of hoping jenkins's would fall off

Just be very careful when putting anything on the blk part. If you can find some antibiotic cream or ointment that is easy to spread that may help keep infection away.
