I have 2 Birds that have Frostbitten combs. One Is my Brown leghorn Roo. The front of the comb is Red like it should be. But as it goes back it turns to a light pink to whitish in color. Half of his comb is sagging to one side. That being the light pink to whitish color parts. A few points on the comb near the back have turned black. The other points on the backside are either whitish or light pink. His wattle is pink around the edges and changes color to whitish near the middle. My other is also a brown leghorn but a hen. 3 of her points on her comb have turned black. I just read about putting aloe vera on them. So earlier today i went and smeared some aloe on there combs. The Roo fell asleep when i was putting the aloe on his comb. I quess it felt really good to him. But i`m worried about the rest of his comb and wattle. I know the parts that have turned black will fall off. But how bout the whitish / pink colored parts of his comb and wattle? Will they also turn black and fall off or will they heal up?
