Frostbitten Toe Healed Over but Still Hurting

Your wrapping looks really good. Does she run around a lot?

Thank you! She mosies around a fair amount. The past couple of days I've diapered her and brought her downstairs to hang out with us. I think she likes that better instead of being in a big guest room by herself. Even though she did have "tunes" playing all day and a mirror to look at herself in lol. I think she might be lonely, but she has not enjoyed her other chicken roommates.

Wow, it sounds like I have a princess chicken on my hands.

How is her leg foot doing? Did it get some frostbite on it? I would,be inclined to leave the toes bare, and just put some Betadine on them daily. That way it would heal up and maybe toughen. If there seems to be infection, the antibiotic that Wyorp Rock mentioned, may be found online.

Overall her leg and foot seem fine. I did a more in-depth look over on her feet yesterday and they all look fine...a couple ingrown feathers that I popped out. The other toe tip that came off from the same bout of frostbite is picture perfect.

I think you're right about it needing to toughen up. I am leaving it bare for now, I like the betadine suggestion. It doesn't seem infected...I took her temp last night too and that was within normal range but I will definitely keep an eye on it. Are there other antibiotics that would work? I just bought a bunch of powdered ones, but can get the other one you both have mentioned:

- 4in1
- Enrofloxin
- Florfenicol
- SulfaMedt
