Too many variables for a poll.
As far as eating frozen eggs:
If membrane is not broken I wash and use first.
If membrane is broken I toss them...
....otherwise I wouldn't know if they were frozen or not.

No problem @aart I appreciate the input! I can see membrane broken or not being a good determining factor. That's what I've done with other cracked eggs. Hairline crack, I eat it the same day, membrane maybe broken, cooked and fed to the dogs or the chickens. Perhaps with frozen it will be the same.

I came here wondering the same thing. I just got my first 2 eggs today. Both frozen one cracked in 2 directions. They were delicious! I should know by this time tomorrow, if I did the right thing. ☺

It depends on your "eww factor". I will eat them if it's just a hairline crack and the egg is clean. A big crack... I figure when it's -24, anything bad is probably frozen anyway, but I do feed those to the dog or the chickens. You have to decide if it's worth whatever risk there may be.

See, I was kinda thinking the same, if it's cold enough to freeze solid and split the egg open it is likely cold enough to keep bacteria from growing and definitely colder than my refrigerator. I think to be safe, if they split I will feed them back to the chickens. Plus if it's so cold the eggs freeze the girls will be extra happy to have a warm treat and extra protein.

If I had a frozen egg, AND IF the membrane was still intact, AND IF that egg did not have any skid marks, AND IF was going to be doing some baking right away, I'd use that frozen egg in my baking. But, I'd not use the frozen egg for my fried egg breakfast b/c the yolk would not be completely cooked. A frozen egg would have to be pretty gross (not a likely occurrence) before I'd consider throwing it away. I'd cook it for the dog or the chickens first.

I had one that froze solid and cracked. I put it on the counter and from the heat of the room it started leaking. So, I cooked it and fed it to my dogs (they were standing there and the chickens already had their eggs for the day). If it was badly cracked like that one, I think I would save it for the chickens (or dogs). But a hairline crack would be for me.
I don't know about safety, but this one also had a puncture - like one of my hens put a big fat toenail in it.
