The thought of frozen eggs just crossed my mind. Winter is approaching and I assume eggs will freeze. I live in SC so winter is not terrible but we do get temps down to the teens. Last winter temps dipped to single digits a couple of nites and usually get into the twenties during January and February nites. My coop has no heat or electricity. We usually collect eggs in the morning. I was wondering what you northern folks do in the winter.

I collect in the evenings - the only eggs I've had that froze were those we missed or left overnight.
