hi i justed wanted to tell everyone i paid my friend and the chicken is now mine he is indoors recovering in my basement.

what is the next step after his feet warm up he has a wound on him he got 2 days ago our dog almost killed him and one more and actually got 2

Can you post any pictures of his feet or his wounds? How deep are the wounds? What has she put on the wounds so far? Can he walk at all? What do the feet look like? It might be good to warm his feet in slightly warm water, not too hot. The put some betadine or Vetericyn on his feet after drying them. What do you have for first aid? Treat his wounds as well, cleaning them with soapy water or Vetericyn, and apply Neosporin twice a day. Be careful not to rub his feet, just gently blot them dry. You might read over the links we posted on frostbite care. Glad that you got custody of him, but I hope his feet are not too bad.

his wounds have had basic first aid for chickens and feather cream to help them grow faster. i can get pics later today maybe

i am making a run to town what do i buy for him i think he has lice to

i saw lice on him i told her to treat all her birds with spray but with him what should i do help plzzzz

In winter I would use Permethrin Garden dust for lice. For wounds or the frsotbite, get some gentle betadine or Vetericyn. Vetericyn is very overpriced, and there are other brands, such as Theracyn and Wound Spray. Get some plain Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic ointment at a drug store or Walmart. Do you have chickens as well? Don’t let him around your chickens until his lice are treated twice 7 to 10 days apart, or they will get them too.
