Frozen water in winter, what do you do?

It's 4' X 3 1/2'... about 14 sq. ft... I repurposed an apple bin.... Holds about 800#'s of apples...
It's where I kept my rooster for 3 weeks to get him a little more submissive... seems to have worked... I kept it in the run so the hens could prance around and on top of him.... He seems to have gotten the message... BIG MAMA hen is in charge now....
