So my coop suddenly has tiny flies that look and behave like fruit flies, but are hard to photograph. They do eat in their coop, they do get their nighttime peas in the coop, i refresh bedding dailyish, change monthly ish. If its fruit flies, are they a harm? Just gross? Apart from changing the bedding more often what should i do?

Could be, i can change more often easily enough, thought I might try making some large fruit fly traps

Probably a good idea. I was going to make a few traps. They’re unfortunately all over the fresh chicken poo in my run as well as my compost pile (no surprise there) so I don’t know if there’s much I can do other than trap to try and keep the population down. They’re so small the chickens don’t care about them.

I wouldn’t worry as much but I don’t need them getting in the house and spoiling my veggies!
