Just wondering if chickens can eat fruit that is starting to spoil? I have a piece of watermelon in the fridge that is about 2 weeks old and some strawberries that are starting to get moldy - is it OK to feed them this kind of food? Will it harm them?

So as long as it doesn't have "furry mold" it's OK - mushy is OK? I did not give it to them since I wanted to check on this board first.

What are the best veggies to feed them? I have given them broccoli, tomatoes, zucchini and cucumbers but nothing else. What about green beans and raw carrots? Are those too hard?

Only feed cooked beans. Raw beans can be poisonous. You can give them green, pinto, black, lima and red beans. They won't eat carrots cut into chunks, so consider feeding them the peelings instead. Broccoli, kale, sweet potato, cabbage, beets, corn, cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchini, lettuce, garlic, squash, radishes, spinach, carrots, sprouts and peas are all veggies they can eat.
