Fruit trees

Can anyone suggest a natural way of spraying our fruit trees for pests and disease? Is this something I should do now to prevent for next season?
 
I've been told to use sulfur - spray in very early spring, just before bud break, to prevent scab and other fungal infections. The weather has to be just right - no rain or wind. My apples are scabby as I have not followed this advice.

I think Neem oil??? But it has to be chilly.

I don't have fruit trees but I do listen to the Garden Naturally show on KLBJ 590am on Saturday and Sunday mornings...you can listen online. It's the longest running organic gardening show and has been on for 20+ years.
