frustrated

Update on my son. After being hospitalized in April for 4 days to have his intestinal track totally flushed out because the specialist thought he must be constipated. A week after that, he was still in pain and having diarrhea, no improvement. The specialist finally decided to listen to me and realize that it is not constipation. He had a double scope last week and biopsies done on tissues removed from his digestive track. Yesterday he had a hida scan and his doctor called to let me know the results. They were not normal and she thinks he will have to have his gallbladder removed. At least we finally have a cause of all of his pain and diarrhea. We need to go to the surgeon and talk to them and see where to go from here. I don't know if there is anything they can do to make the gallbladder function properly without surgery.

I certainly hope that this is the answer for his pain and problems.... Nothing worse than seeing your child in pain and not being able to do anything about it.

hopefully that's the problem and can be fixed.

I was going to ask if they considered abdominal migraines...I saw a show on it last night..

Tomorrow is the big day. My little man is having his surgery to remove his gallbladder. They said it should take about 3 hours and he will be home in time for dinner. I am getting nervous. I know I worry too much, but he is my little boy.

My son is home and recuperating. He is in pain but is doing good.

Been waiting on him hand and foot. Hope he will be running around and being a kid again soon.

Just saw what you have been going through. So sorry to hear what a commotion you had just to even find out what was wrong. AHHHH when our littel ones (at any age) are sick...it is hard. Seems the worst is behind you both now and I hope for the best.
