Frustration with buyers...RANT~

Despite all the times I have been taken over the years, I still try to trust people, especially when someone comes with good reccomendations from people I do trust completely. I know stuff happens, but still being out of work for almost a year, spending the $$ on the shipping box really hurt.

Sometimes it's best just to do pick up only.

If someone requests shipping, then next time make them pay for the box themselves "before" you buy it.

Maybe you can refund the box?

We had a seller do something similar with us. We had a horse trailer with an awning, someone asked us to dry the awning out and they'd be back the next day to pick it up and pay in cash. Storm blew up in the middle of the night, tore it all to shreds, and of course they didn't buy it. So then we were out $1300 for an awning, which was useless because they insisted we leave it unrolled for the night.

I think the shipping box she is referring to is a live bird shipping box, I don't think they give those away for free. Boxes that are used for eggs can be gotten for free, but live shipping requires a special box, I believe.

I have priority boxes to ship eggs, but you must use Live Bird Filtered shipping boxes for shipping birds, they cost money.
