Hatching eggs are 30.00 half doz... shipping 9.95, 60.00 for a doz and shipping is 14.95 one of the oldest known breeds of gamefowl, Very handsome birds, they have well-muscled body, sturdy frame, and yellow skin and legs. I find the breed to be fascinating, both for their long history and aristocratic disposition. Devoted parents, with an impressive physical appearance and an indomitable spirit, plus plumage of a range of colors (many of a beautiful metallic luster), the Asil is a breed worth keeping. Dont miss out.

Are these supposed to be Thais or Asils? (or both?) Could we see pics, and know more about their lineage?

, Our friend got hers from these 2 breeders Fowlafoot and Ricardo Pedraglio, and then she breed those with each other and we got the offspring from them.

Thais and Asils are different breeds but similiar to each other . To answer the question; what does Pedraglio say his are ? and what does Fowlafoot say his are ?

Unless they come direct from us, (Fowlafoot is my wife), I cannot guarantee the authenticity or purity of the posted eggs for sale. How did your friend get these birds from us, were they adults or hatching eggs? Just be careful listing supposed breeders if they are not known to be such, we take great pride in what we raise and do not want someone tarnishing our lines reputation by representing our fowl with something that is not them. Not saying these are not them, but when they come from a "friend" makes me a bit suspicious.

Ricardo (i only know of him, but have never spoken to him) definitely has Asil, you can see them on feathersite. However i believe he is in South America.

If I read correctly, the OP said they have a friend who got one from your wife, and bred that one with a bird from another person. Then they got offspring from that mating. Sounds pretty straightforward, to me.

They didn't say they were directly from you. Nor were they asking you to authenticate anything.

But now you've made it sound like they've made a false claim, when by all appearances, they have not.

It's just on another forum PC and I visit, their friend said that the Shamo OP has as well came from Moua Oriental Aviary (crossed with another line). Moua Oriental Aviary said they have never sold their Shamo to ANYONE! Another thing is Ricardo being from South America, takes a good bit of money to import even eggs and I'm not sure if you can even import from South America (there is a list of places you can, and can't).

I'm not trying to say the OP is a liar in anyway, or put them down or their birds. But PC and Ricardo both have great looking Asils to me, I know PC strives to breed the best talking to him personally and receiving a Shamo stag last year (plan to get more birds this year!). But even if these two lines were crossed, i find it kind of hard to see how they produced those birds. They look very much like Asil from a hatchery to me.

-Daniel.

PS. If you did get taken OP, I'm sorry to hear. There are a lot of peddlers in the fowl world, and even if they're not what you thought. If you like them and they bring you joy, then i by no means mean to discourage you from breeding them.
