Getting some eggs that are greener than expected. The first pictured girl of the 3 looks a little lighter brown than the other 2 and wondered to your eyes if they look like they should have laid pretty blue and I was just unlucky!

I don't know anything about the amount of sunshine changing eggs but I don't think it would change blue eggs to green eggs.

The problem was when Legbars were first introduced in the states they were all coming from just a couple lines. One of those lines had had a brown egg laying breed crossed in at some point and green eggs were popping up.
Some people tried to breed away from any green eggs while others didn't seem to care. Eventually that I don't care is one out and even the standard of perfection that's been written up for them allows for shades of green eggs.

I think you have lovely Cream Legbars.
Blue vs greenish eggs are just the luck of the draw with Cream Legbars.

I have some that lay very blue eggs and some that lay greenish eggs.

Sunlight may help intensify the color that they are laying but will not change the color from green to blue.

I do notice at the beginning of the lay cycle they are darker in color than later in the lay cycle. My Marans eggs are also darker at the beginning of the lay cycle.

I found this explanation about the sunlight, health and stress.

"Health and Stress: A hen’s overall health and stress levels can influence eggshell pigmentation. Stress can lead to lighter-colored eggs, as the hen’s body may not deposit pigments as effectively.
Environmental Factors: Exposure to sunlight and temperature can also affect eggshell color. Hens exposed to more sunlight tend to lay eggs with more intense pigmentation due to increased vitamin D production."

Atleast 1 of the 3 have an egg closer to blue. The other 2 are more like the minty green but I suppose I can’t complain too much they are still pretty. Was just wanting some good blue eggs in the carton!!

GreenFire Farms are the original importer of the Cream Legbar breed and theirs lay the same color eggs, blue to green.

^this! The pigment that makes green eggs is just brown and it is deposited on top the shell last. Sunlight won't effect if they have this brown egg gene or not. I think laying green rather than blue eggs happens in a few breeds. It's been a few years but I believe I've seen a true Ameraucana egg color chart that shows how eggs can range from greenish as well. I'd imagine it's simply a lack of breeders selecting for pure blue eggs.
