Have read several other topics about small eggs but they all seem to be talking about young hens. our little bantam is about a year old, is feed a good quality feed, yet she has started to lay tiny eggs. so far 3. This has been going on for about 2 weeks and she is no longer laying regular eggs. only tiny eggs every couple of days. Any ideas?

Well regular sized hens will lay bantam sized eggs (or smaller) when they are laying out, Bantams will lay tiny eggs to begin with.. About half (or a 3rd) of the size of a large fowl egg depending on the breeds compared.. Bantam eggs will look like Milk duds if they were to lay out or something.. minus the chocolate

They are a little over a year old, is that old enough to stop laying?

Thanks. All else seems O.K. with her, so hopefully she will start laying again.
