Full moon

Why every full moon do I get no eggs the day after???

Interesting question, I never noticed. Now, looking at the calendar, Thurs. I got all 12, Fri., I got 10 and yesterday I got 6. Last night was the full moon. Today I got 9. I know the moon and tides affect a lot of things but, chicken egg laying? Maybe....

The ladies were locked inside coop all night there's no way and visitors could get in only thing I could this is the roof is clear so the full moon may have kept them up

My point is visitor / predator could disturb birds by simply messing around outside of the coop. Some predators are more or less likely to visit on moonlit nights.

You have a point. The other day,(Sunday) let my chickens out to free range just for the last hour of the day. They have been stuck in the run on account of a fox. during that time, I saw a few fox prints in the mud in front of the run gate. So anyway, on Sunday, within 10 minutes of letting the chickens out BAM a fox! I chased it off and the buff it was after lost 6 feathers, no injury. Worse yet, different fox from the one a month ago. yesterday I only got 4 eggs! My birds are healthy so something is bothering them in the night. As soon as it is a little warmer at night, I'm gonna be sitting and waiting for what ever it is.

I have never had any issues except when I let them out of the run with Hawks guess I'll set a trap tonight
