Fully feathered at 5 weeks - can they go off heat?

My babies are 5 weeks old and fully feathered. Nights get down to 63°f. Can I take them off heat?

Yes they can definitely go off supplemental heat, and will likely be much more comfortable in your current temps after they do so. Looks like you have a nice variety of colors and breeds there!

Normally you should take them off heat around 6-8 weeks old, but I usually take mine off at 5 weeks old. The temperature they should have at 5 weeks old is 65-70, so I think if you provide a spot for them where they can cuddle together to warm up they should be fine.

They have enough feathers and can be together to keep warm. If you're still not sure then decrease the heat.

Yes, at those nightly lows they’ll be fine.

Particularly if you wean them off of supplemental heat.
