I put some shipped eggs in the bator Saturday night.....I inspected them all, but didn't candle as I had sick kids to tend. They ALL looked perfectly fine. Then today I was turning my eggs in the cartons and 1 egg just looked wrong, it wasn't smooth....
I have incubated hundreds of eggs and never seen this. I pulled it out and the whole thing is fractured. No dents or anything and no one has been near the incubator but me, they can't get to it. I took pics but not sure how they will look. I will try to post them later if the baby ever lets me put her down, poor thing

. Of course I pulled it just in case and put it in a bag. It doesn't smell and looks completely clear, no bacteria etc....
strangest thing I have seen....any one have any theories? Dh and I came up with maybe it fractured when it was laid and it wasn't until it started incubating the contents expanded slightly making the cracks noticable? What do you think?
