Ok, so I have a mixed flock consisting of 3 ducks, 3 guinea hens, 5 turkeys and 4 chickens. I recently got out of school for the summer and I now have endless amounts of time to spend with everyone. I am looking for ideas for mostly the birds other than the ducks because my ducks really like the sprinkler, so I have a hard time getting them to do something else because that is all they want to play in. Any Ideas for fun things that I can do with the other birds?

I always enjoy getting a handful of treats, usually mealworms, and feeding one treat to one chick making sure the other chicks see this and watch them chase after the one with the treat. Sometimes it will change beaks and the chaser becomes the chasee. Once the treat is consumed, repeat until they get tired of it, you get tired out or you are out of treats. Another thing you might try is to attach a head of cabbage or an ear of corn to a piece of string. Use an eye hook type of hardware screwed into the bottom of the cabbage or the end of the ear of corn and attach it to a piece of string. Dangle this above them a little similar to how ou might do to a kitten with a cord or ribbon. You might try tying the string to a long pole so they are not right under your feet.

Have fun!!
