Funniest Things A City Slicker Has Ever Said To You?

I've got one! I was at a goat show, sitting by my pen petting my goat when an old couple came up to me and asked me if they could ask me a question. I said sure so they asked me

"Why do they cut some of the goats ears off?"

(For non goat people, there's a breed of goat with pracitally no ears, or very very short ears, and there were a lot of these at fair) LOL I know it's not nice, but it's all I could do to keep from laughing!

This is not a "city slicker" story, but I was amused by a little girl about 6 or 7 the other day. Her mom approached me after church and asked::

Mom: "Do you have any hens for sale?"

Me: "What kind of hens are you looking for?"

Girl: "GIRL hens!"

Me: (trying not to laugh) - "Do you want them just for laying eggs?"

Girl, (now frustrated because I obviously don't get it) - "Yes, we want GIRL hens that lay WONDERFUL eggs that we can EAT!!!"

lol

For non goat people, that is a very legitimate question. It helps if there is a large prominently displayed poster in the barn with breed descriptions.

Sounds like a fair question to me some dog breeds have their ears and tails both clipped like Doberman pincher's.

I was having a chicken related chat with some of my friends when a guy overheard and said "roosters and chickens aren't the same thing". He said one cannot say "rooster chicken" or "hen chicken" because they're different animals.. I had to explain to him over and over that "rooster" and "hen" are simply gender names like "woman" and "man" is for humans. It took him a little while

He wouldn't believe me either when I told him ostriches also go by "rooster" and "hen"! I told him to research it himself but he was stubborn and said "no because I'm not going to embarrass a liar" I guess he got mad lol.

I hope that, if you gave the words in that order, you pointed out they didn't compare respectively otherwise he would become rather gender confused!
