Not sure if anyone watched the Sarah Palins Alaska series that came on tv awhile here back but on the last episode, Sarah was talking about how humorous some of the mail she got was...one letter in particular was a lady who was putting her down for killing helpless animals to have food for her family. This is almost exact words of what the lady said...." You should be ashamed of yourself killing animals like you do. You need to do like the rest of us and go to the store and just buy the meat where they make it at instead of killing to get it"....SERIOUSLY?? I had a hard time believing that someone actually believed this, but then again it takes all kinds lol. I laughed probably for 3 hrs over that one ROFL!!

Well,. it wasn't said to me,. but what happened was I was explaining to one of my teen-aged nieces about the steroids that are given to many commercial chickens and we didn't want to eat that so we raise our own. Her mother called me later to ask just what I was telling her children,.. apparently at the dinner table that night,. Sara told everyone that the chicken they were eating was probably fed hemroids!

I know,. you are right ,. it was a long conversation about many different farm animals and it included hormones,. steroids,.antibiotics ,. beef and dairy and poultry she asked,.. so I was going through everything I could while she was listening,.( how often does that happen!)

I just tried to make the story shorter,. ,. but accuracy is more important ,. and I should have changed it,. thanks for keep it straight...

My husband and I were at cabelas one time and just happened to be walking past the deer exhibition where a Mom was explaining to her kids that "they needed to keep their distance so they didn't get deer ticks from the deer"

We just about died trying not to laugh out loud when we heard that!
