Funny beak

Well she is a Leghorn, and they aren't considered tame birds. They're laying machines, and are like Minorca's that look a lot like them, but black or splash, they're both in the Mediterranean Class. Just a little bit of background history there.

Ok, thanks. Didn't know leghorns were that way. I guess I think most chickens are tame because I see so many on here and YT that are easy to handle. My RI or NH (can't tell for sure) Red is very tame. She's about the only one that jumps up in my lap.

i would have to slightly disagree, but not by much

leghorns can be tame birds but usaually aarnt due to their skittish nature and the fact they dont like being handled much. Most people refer to untame as animals that wont listen or a a bit of what they call a law in them selves

my leghorn is not exactly one to like beong touched but i would class her as tame well him too as i now have a roo aswell, when i have food they listen and come near and are not agressive at all

only when i try to catch her does she run other than that she is pretty docile and happy in her self

but like everyone advises they are laying machine rarely ever going broodu and rearely ever stopping laying, and very slim making them very good flyers and really only advised to experienced keepers to have

first timers should avoid them till they get experience
