I have a 1.4 yo hen that all of a sudden is doing this funky panting breathing thing. She’s also slowed down for 2 months laying. When she does lay they are small brown or white ball eggs w/o yoke. Or she lays those strange soft transparent eggs. I thought it was the heat, then stress but now I’m thinking something serious. Seems to eat fine and poop fine.
I’m stumped. Trying to post a video.

For video, upload to Youtube and provide a link.
OR
You can upload to the BYC Gallery, just tell us where the video is.

I'd like to see your video and a photo of her poop if possible.

To me, it sounds like she's struggling to expel an egg. Get some Extra Calcium into her ASAP.

1 Calcium Citrate+D3 tablet, open the beak, pop in the tablet and let her swallow it.
If you don't have Calcium Citrate, then give 1 TUMS.
Do this daily for a week.

ok I think I uploaded the video. She gets plenty of calcium and all good food, partial free range.

☝️👇 I understand, she's got calcium available in food or free choice via oyster shells, etc.
Your description mentions soft transparent eggs, etc. Soft shelled eggs are very hard to expel. The way you attempt to help your hen out of this crisis is to give her Extra Calcium. This is not a long term thing to give, it's given to see if it will help her expel whatever material she's struggling to pass.

So what do I try? What do I give and how much?
Instructions were in Post#2 and a hyperlink was provided again in Post#4.
You can find Calcium Citrate+D3 at stores like Walmart, CVS, etc.
