We were standout out on the front porch, just chatting when i saw Sidney, my Muscovy drake running as hard as he could. I turned around to see what his problem was and here's 2 girls, about 4 feet apart & he's running back and forth between them! the little horndog couldnt decide which one to breed first and was trying to keep them where they were!!

finally he decided to breed the one that was in front of the other girl, that way he could make sure she didnt leave while he was 'busy' lol....this kind of comedy is why i love my ducks

My pekin Harvey is kept away from my Runners.. But Crumpet isnt enough for him..he often trolls the fenceline hoping to get in to the Runner pen... The girls will sometimes run up to the fence and stand there looking at him..I have often wondered - if ducks were able to blow raspberries...would my girls be doing that to him....

My Pekin boys run the fenceline trying to impress the Runner girls. The the Runner boys come over and chase the girls away from the fence. It's hilarious to watch!!

That is funny. My drake must like his privacy. I have never seen him in action. I got a buff runner the same time I got him and they were both adults, and kind of a pair. Now one of my black runners has decided that he is hers. She follows him around like a puppy dog.. bobbing a long beside him. I've noticed the last two nights they have been snuggled up together when I've gone out to the pen. I'm hoping he likes all the girls - or I have some unfertilized eggs in the incubator. He is such a stately gentlemen... he waits til the girls have eaten before he approaches the food bowl.
