New England.. the cold part.
I have 3 swedes (splash, black and blue all age 2 1/2), 2 KCs (age 1), a pekin and a mallard (age 1)... I got 6 eggs today, all pretty big, which is 2 more than I usually do. I tend to get 3 white eggs, which seem a little pinkish, and one which seems a bit yellower... (it's really hard to tell, but if I look really close, I can tell) today I got another white one and a GREY one... grey stuff that I could sort of scrub off... but wasn't poo.. i swear. my swedes have been laying for a while, so I think they're doing the regular pinkish ones that all look identical... but the others stump me... any thoughts? I'll try to take pix tomorrow morning.

Cayuga duck eggs: "The eggs are meant to be covered in a black / dark grey film which will wash off though many now lay white eggs."

May B othere duck eggs have the same thing?

The only thing I could think was maybe I was wrong about the 3 identical eggs being from the 3 identical ducks.. maybe the black swede, like the cayuga has some sort of darker bloom sprayer thingy.... because otherwise, it has to be from a KC or a pekin....
