funny looking egg

Look at this egg
from a 11 month old hen. I think something is wrong

Does it have a hard shell like a normal egg, or is it "soft shelled," meaning it gives to the tough? They can have no shell at all, just the inner membrane, or the shell can be there but not hard.

A lot of odd things may only happen once, or once in a very great while. A lot depends on whether you keep getting odd eggs. Once in a while, a normal hen with a normal system makes a "mistake."

The shell is mostly hard theres a spot that soft. She some time lays small eggs but nothing like this.

I've had that happen too with one of young hens and my vet told me it happens sometimes. Just keep an eye on her I bet tomorrow she will lay a normal one like mine did The vet did tell me tho that if happens regularly to bring her in that it could be a deficiency of some kind but he feels sure its just one of those things that happens.

I know that it can happen, but I think I would still be astonished if I found one of my girls left me this!!
