So this is my first batch of meat birds.. Cornish X, My little ones were a week old about .. today.. I have a pretty active healthy little fluff balls. Yesterday i noticed a few with bulges on them in odd spots. When I researched these Cornish X I did learn that they can have issues because they grow so fast. I just didnt think I d see anything so soon like I said about a week old.
A few of them have what looks like a growth...like a tumor.. Right above the wing area.. The bulges dont look fluid filled or like its an infection.. They are soft to the touch and when I touched them it didnt appear to upset or hurt the chick at all. So Im wondering if this sounds normal.. Should I be worried.. I can add Pics if it would help. I just dont have them on this PC .. but can do so in morning.
When I posted this question in another site forum I got alot of "Its a Cornish X so its normal" replies.. So i wanted to try here and see if anyone has any insight..
