Ok this is completely out of boredom. Just Gonna put that out there. To start, I'll tell... about the chickies! So about a month ago we hatched out an ameraucana and a silver laced polish, Peaches and Pepper. One day I went to go check on them, and I opened the nest box lid (that's where they sleep) and saw mama Daisy looking up at me, with no sign of the two chicks. As I was just starting to panic, a couple of little heads poked up out from Daisy's feathers. I had already checked under her, but they were sleeping under Daisys wings, ones on each side. Now all three of them were looking at me like "what? We were never gone!"
My chickens love to dig around in my large pots so I let them.
Toss in a little scratch or mealworms sometimes.
Here’s my NN cockerel Loki peeking out.
The other day my new hen was acting weird so I brought her inside to check her out. She acted fine (she developed symptoms later on. ) She was limping so I looked at her leg and she tried to hop away from me, while I was holding her leg. She reached as far as my arm could reach and gave me the most hilarious look. She didn't know why she couldn't keep hopping away! I let her go to take a pic and she tried to peck the lens!
When she was little I used to tell her how precious she was. Well I must have said it enough because after a while she would fly to me when I said Precious. I could not not name her that..lol
