Hello, new here. Mainly trying to share a quick story and find some chickens a good home in mich,
I had my parents contact me today with a funny neighbor story, and hoping to help out some little chicks in the process.
A neighbor of my parents decided to buy a couple of chickens his words easter chicks for his Granddaughter. but her parents do not want the responsibility of taking care of them and said noway. So he decided since my parents have a little granddaughter and thinking that she might like them. Without actually telling them what he was going to give them gave the chicks to them and said here these are yours now give them to your Granddaughter.
This is the short and sweet version LOL. so I said sure bring them over I will house them and try to find them a good home, and now here I am if anybody in Macomb county, Michigan area has a heart to take in a couple of chicks and give them a good home. I will check back here post some info and we can get together I am also hoping to get some info about a proper way to take care of these little guys in the meantime I have been in some of the other posts reading so have a little bit of a idea. some of the terminology is a little advanced or should I say the lingo used. So hope I can get some responces.

Had a few posts in the other one tell me I should post here two to find out there ages and just hoping for some more exposure these little Chicks are already making me want to keep but I can't.

This is the feed the guy gave with the chicks

all I will say is thank you for stepping up and taking care of these chicks.

Just be sure they are warm, they look to be about 2 to 3 weeks old, they need to be at about 80 degrees if possible. keep plenty of water and food. I cannot tell the type of food you are feeding. Is there a box or bag that has Starter feed on the label? Maybe put some Pine Shavings in their coop/cage so they will have a soft place to lie down.

Again, thank you for taking care of these Easter Chicks....

They look like Easter Eggers, meaning if they are hens they should lay green/blue eggs. I think this 'cause their legs are the green/gray color of EE's. I would love to have them but I live too far away!
