Fussy eaters?

My girls are about 7 weeks old and haven't shown much interest in anything other than their regular feed, bread or toast, and live mealworms and bugs. Oh, and my lawn. I'm looking forward to them becoming little feathered composters, but my offers of fruits, veggies, cereals and dairy have been rebuffed. Are they too young and should I give up for awhile, or do I have a fussy flock?

It's not unusual for chickens to refuse a new treat. They seem to be afraid of anything new. Just keep offering small amounts; they will catch on.
