I'm new here, I've lurked on a couple of threads and since I just put an order in for 40 chicks and 3 Cayuga Ducks... I guess I better get ready
I've had chickens before, nothing special... just hens picked up from someone who had to many... I couldn't even tell you what they were lol.
My husband works at a feed store and I happened to see Black Silkies and Barred Cochin Bantams... Then I was REALLY hooked lol. I picked up 2 of each and lost one to a cat.. who no longer has a home here. The other 3 are thriving, but 3 just isn't cutting it for me. I have a HUGE chicken pen/coop. And I won't be keeping all of the chicks I get, after they are grown I'll be selling any hens I don't want to my mom, and any Roosters I don't want to a man around here.
