Future "Crazy Chicken Lady"

Sorry I forgot to check back until now lol. Thank you for the warm welcome.

Anyway, My husband thinks I've lost it ordering 40... but they aren't as expensive as another horse or 2, which I was leaning toward lol. Like I said I won't be keeping all of them. I was only able to get straight runs so I'm sure a big chunk of that " 40 " will be roosters with my luck. And Since I only want the chickens to watch, don't really care about how many eggs I get. I only want 1 hen of each breed/color... maybe 2 if I can't decide. My mom Lost about 60 Chickens 2 years ago before they could kill whatever was getting them, She now only has about 6 and is more then willing to buy the hens I don't want, and she doesn't really like taking care of the babies any more, so likes to get them grown or at least big enough to take care of themselves. So I am starting with 40 but who knows what the final number will be lol.

Someone mentioned Turkeys... I will never be able to get a Turkey. My husband is TERRIFIED of big birds lol, I'm lucky I'm getting chickens and ducks.
