Future Serama coop

In the future I'm planning on (maybe) starting a Serama coop, if anyone has any tips about doing so just put it below.
For starters I'm probably going to start with a rabbit hutch or mini chicken coop, as well with a heater because our winters are pretty cold.

I live in WNY (Western New York), the winters here sometimes are below zero, this is why I may not be able to have Seramas unfortunately.

December average temperature: 35-21 F|C
December is usually our coldest month.
