I *so* want a couple silkies. *sigh*

How do they do in colder climates? I'm in western PA, and it gets COLD here. Last winter had a few nights at -10 with -23 windchill. [IMG]

    Too cold for silkies??

    Hi Jessied1227,
I would imagine that silkies would do O.K. in PA, as long as you could protect them in an enclosed coop or barn and maybe a heat source if needed. You may want to email the lady from Sassy Silkies, she lives in Erie, PA, and could probly give your good info and they may have some silkies for sale. I see her auctions on Eggbid.com for silkies (really nice ones too!) You can Google "Sassy Silkies" and click on the one that talks about chickens. Good Luck.

Sorry about that I Googled Sassy Silkies and came up with several hits. I clicked on the one that talked about chickens and it was her. Check her out!

I think she's sassysilkies.net. Sometimes she has problems with her site.
    Very cute fuzzbutts, BTW! [IMG]
