Well, I have 8 chicks now and my big hen is still sitting on 5. She starts sitting when there's only two eggs and the other hens loaded her up so I knew they would all have different hatch times but was hoping the other 5 would have hatched already. One did yesterday. I didn't want it to be by itself so when I cleaned I stuck it in the playpen 1st and then the others. Everyone is doing great and the bigger ones didn't even pick at it
The older ones I already have a feeling what sex they might be. I have never had this many before at one time and there is a difference when looking at them up close as far as legs and combs. I thought it was my imagination and had the hubby look too. Will be interesting to see if we're right
