My girls got to see the sun and the grass for the first time yesterday afternoon. We took them out and let them run around, and they were in chicken-heaven, flapping those newly-feathered wings and exploring the various terrain.
I managed to capture this picture of my EE and BR from behind - so you can all enjoy the fuzzy chick bums that are so cute. I think the BR's bottom looks a bit like a penguin!
Edited to add: the only downside is that we live in a bit of a flight path (no noise, but the jets for Hobby airport often cut diagonally over our backyard). The chicks apparently think the planes are a hawk, and they duck for cover when one goes over. They'd better get used to it, since this will be their home for life!
